There are a lot of Generative AI tools out there, also called GenAI. Of course there are the big names like ChatGTP, Dall-E, Sora, Nano Banana Pro and Grøk, but there are also a bunch of other apps that you can use too. Some let you chat to an AI companion, some let you generate images, videos or songs.
You’ve probably heard a lot about how students are using these kinds of GenAI tools to help with their assignments, or businesses using them to design new products or answer customer questions.
We’ve heard about these kinds of GenAI uses too – there are a lot of researchers, from all over the world, looking into GenAI in schools and universities, as well as in businesses and the creative industries.
We know that these tools are growing in popularity everyday, what we don’t know as much about is how people are using GenAI in their day to day lives, or how people who aren’t at school or uni learn how to get the most out of these tools.
That’s where you might come in!
If you are over 18, aren’t current studying, and have been using one or more GenAI tools regularly for at least 6 months, we’d love learn more about how YOU are using them in your day to day life.
Ok… What do you want me to do?
We’d like to meet with you for about 45 minutes – twice – with a gap of around 2-3 weeks between the first and the second meeting. You don’t need to go anywhere – we’d meet you online using Zoom.
In these meetings we’ll ask you some questions about the tools you use, and why you use them. We’ll also get you to give us a live demo, and show you how to share a copy of your chat history with us.
After the second meeting, as a thank you for your time, we’ll send you an AUD$50 gift card.
Alright, I’m interested! Where do I sign up?
Great to hear!
First things first, make sure you download and read
a copy of the full Participant Information Statement.
It covers all of the details of participating – including
your right to withdraw from the project at any time.
You will also need to download, read and sign the
Participant Consent Form.
Next, click on the button below to sign up as a participant in the project. You’ll be able to confirm your consent and choose which day and time works best for the first interview.
We’ve got space for up to 50 participants. Once we’ve filled this target, the link to sign up below will be switched off.
